Microsoft Purview is expanding Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to restrict Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat from processing emails from external or untrusted domains. This new admin-configurable DLP control, rolling out in public preview June 2026 and general availability June 2027, excludes external emails from Copilot grounding while maintaining internal data use.
